David South Consulting Ranked in the Top 10 Million Websites

According to Siteefy.com, there are over a billion websites in the world (1,197,982,359 websites in the World as of January 2021), so to rank in the top 10 million isn't that bad. And with the world's population now heading towards 8 billion, it really isn't that bad. However, we have been better. In 2015 (the year the UN launched its Sustainable Development Goals) we ranked in the top million (920,811), according to Alexa.

A lot has happened since (for example, Google changed its algorithm for search), but it is impressive the website still draws in a healthy readership. If you like what you read here or on our other websites (davidsouthconsulting.org), then we are happy to receive whatever you can afford to help cover the costs of keeping content online (see below) and creating new content.

We accept payments and donations. We use any funds received to keep content online, or to create new content. Thank you! https://www.paypal.me/davidsouthconsulting

Simple but powerful. The search tool will get you to the content. We also share content via social media and highlight trends and research in the fast-developing realm of 21st century health and human development.

Our work has transformed societies and organisations. It has also played a key role in the evolution of digital communications since 1997.

I have been chronicling innovative solutions since 1991. Most recently, this has been for two media for the United Nations: e-newsletter Development Challenges, South-South Solutions and Southern Innovator Magazine.

Stories and case studies offer practical crisis recovery solutions. This includes groundbreaking work in Mongolia in the late 1990s as it recovered from economic collapse.

I have worked as an investigative journalist, magazine editor and health and media reporter.

I chronicled the mobile and information technology revolution across the global South for the United Nations. The UN magazine Southern Innovator featured practical solutions utilising these technologies to improve health and human development.

Case studies draw on my extensive experience working around the world since the 1990s, including with the United Nations. I have tried to pull together key ideas informing this work and provide data and resources to aid scholars and journalists.
